Are you in your final year?

Your Library can help with...

Finding a place to study

The Library has 24 hour opening during term time.

Getting started with your work

Book a place on our ‘Literature searching for projects and dissertations’ workshop for practical advice on researching for projects, long essays or dissertations.

Use the online Skills Hub to find information and resources to help you plan your written work, prepare for exams and assessment and to get advice on dissertation research and writing.

Moving forward

Make an appointment for a 1-2-1 training session, tailored to support your specific needs.

Getting organised

In addition to housing over 240 computers (PCs and Macs) the Library’s laptop loan facility offers borrowable Chromebooks to use in the Library. If you need help, you can ask a member of IT Services staff who are based at the Info Hub during term time from 11.00am - 5.00pm.

The Skills Hub can give you advice on referencing and referencing software.

Printing and binding

You can print directly from your laptop to our printers and use our multi-functional devices to photocopy, staple and scan and send documents via email.

Do you need books and journal articles for your projects and dissertations?

If you need resources that are not currently provided by the Library, you can place an ‘inter-library request’ and we will try to get hold of them for you. There is no charge for this service and we can usually get them very quickly. For more information take a look at the inter-library requests page.

Help with research methods

We have a selection of wonderful online resources and Sage Research Methods Online can help you find information about research methods for your final pieces of work. It will provide you with information and context about a variety of research methods. Take a look here.
