On some campus PCs there are problems playing video clips. ITS have provided this advice and plan to resolve this issue in the future.
- Go to the web page as usual but instead of directly opening the link do the following:
- Right-click on the clip you wish to view Select Save target as...
- By default this will save to c:\temp but if you want to keep the clip then browse and choose to save to your N drive - but make a note of the location.
- When the save has completed, choose to close rather than open the file now
- From the Start menu > All programs > Multimedia, choose VLC
- The program VLC will open. Choose: File > Open - browse to where you saved the file - it will now play
