The Sussex Centre for Language Studies runs language courses all year round for adult learners who wish to reach a high standard of English.
We look forward to welcoming you to the University of Sussex, one of the UK's leading universities. While many of our students are preparing to enter undergraduate or postgraduate degrees at universities where the language of instruction is English, others come to Sussex to improve their English language skills for career purposes. All our students have one thing in common: they are serious about making as much progress as possible.
Pre-Masters English
Full-time academic English and study skills for those who wish to study for a postgraduate or an undergraduate degree at an English-medium university; 21 hours per week for between three and nine months.

Pre-sessional English
Full time academic English and study skills preparation for those who plan to go on to study either a postgraduate or undergraduate degree at Sussex. Five- and 10-week courses available between July and September.

Summer at Sussex
General full-time English course for visitors to the UK in the Summer months. 21 hours per week, between one and 10 weeks available from July to September.
