The following programme of courses will be offered at the university during 2009/10.
New for 2009: Stage 4 German (Upper Intermediate)
Courses starting in October will usually run for 20 weeks unless otherwise stated.
Intensive double courses (French and Spanish only) meet twice a week for the first nine weeks and continue once a week for a further ten weeks after Christmas, subject to sufficient interest. An additional fee is payable for the spring term of the double courses.
All classes last for an hour and a half (except British Sign Language: BSL Level 1 classes meet once a week for 2 hours and BSL Level 2 classes once a week for three hours).
You are advised to take note of the fee level set beside each course. Fees reflect demand, with more advanced and more specialist language courses attracting higher fees. Occasionally a course may run for a shorter number of weeks if enrolments are low. This will be negotiated at the first meeting.
