We provide software for computers in offices and cluster rooms as well as applications that can be installed on your own computer. We also manage licence and purchasing agreements for most of the software used on campus.
If you're a student, researcher or member of staff, you also have access to software which can be used for working on your own computer.
Software for your own computer
A number of companies offer software at reduced prices to students. Microsoft supply discounted copies of Office 2007 and Windows 7 through their website The Ultimate Steal and there is a wider range of software at academic discounts from Software4Students.
There is a standard suite of software installed on computers supplied by IT Services and additional software is sometimes available on demand or added to a limited number of computers.
