Performance issues on eduroam

IT Services are continuing to work on resolving issues with the eduroam network which provides connections for your own devices.  This has been escalated at the highest priority to our 3rd party and we are working with them to get a resolution as soon as possible.

 

The network is functioning, with users being able to connect, however the speed may be slower than expected especially at peak times such as afternoons and into the evening. Both wired and wireless connections are affected.

 

University-owned computers which are connected to the wired network are not affected by this issue. Should you have any urgent work or submissions, we would recommend that you use a cluster room PC to ensure the timely delivery of your work. The cluster of PCs in the Shawcross Building training room is currently reserved for quick submissions.
