Desktop issues this morning

We have been receiving reports of frozen desktops or missing desktop profiles on some computers on campus. These problems were caused by a network change that was implemented this morning, and can usually be resolved quickly by following the steps below.

  1. If you are able to use your desktop computer, please minimize all applications so you can see your desktop and either press the F5 key on your keyboard or right click on an empty part of your desktop and click Refresh in the popup menu.
  2. If you aren’t able to use your computer, log off and log back on

This should resolve the issues. Please contact the IT Service Desk if you continue to experience issues with your desktop computer.
