Physics and Astronomy file systems

We're investigating a fault with a departmental file server in Maths and Physical Sciences. The server holds files used by Physics and Astronomy researchers and the following wervices are not currently available on HPC cluster nodes:
/mnt/pact
/mnt/pactsw
/research/astro
/research/astrodata
/research/astrodata2
Physics and Astronomy staff and researchers are likely to be unable to login to the HPC cluster because of these problems although users in EPP, AMO and Maths should not be affected.
We'll provide a further update when we have more information.
UPDATE: 27 Oct 2016 - 8:44am
Access to Physics and Astronomy file systems on the HPC cluster nodes is now working normally again and all MPS staff and researchers should be able to login as usual.
System administrators in MPS were able to fix the problem shortly after 5.00pm on Wednesday.
