Sussex websites update

The main Sussex website was back online at 10.30am after problems in the last few days. Sussex Direct and Study Direct were also up and running by 12.00pm.

Several Sussex sites, including the main home page, Sussex Direct and Study Direct were unavailable over the weekend. Staff who were available attempted to resolve the issue but it wasn't until Monday morning that the fault was traced to a malfunction with the antivirus software that runs on the University web servers. Workarounds were put in place to enable us to get services operating and further investigation is under way to resolve the fault permanently.

We're very sorry for all the disruption this issue has caused over the weekend, especially for students trying to revise and complete assignments. We're continuing to work to make sure all web sites are operating smoothly again.
