Changes to IT Services during refurbishment

There have been several changes to the provision of IT Services while improvements are made to the computer facilities in Shawcross. The internal spaces in Shawcross are being reorganised to make more computers available for students, but this does mean some disruption to services while building work is taking place.

IT Service Desk in a temporary location
While the refurbishments are completed, our Service Desk will be relocated. We are currently based in York House, where staff and students can get IT assistance in person. You can also visit the IT help point in the Library for help with wi-fi connections and printing.

IT Service Desk
York House, 8.30am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday
For help with all IT enquiries

IT help point
Library Hub, 9.00am to 7.00pm Monday to Friday and 12.00 to 5.00pm Saturday and Sunday
For help with wi-fi connections, passwords and printing

Computer rooms temporarily reassigned
Two of the computer rooms on the campus, York House and JMS 1B1, will not be available for general use as they will temporarily accommodate other ITS staff who have to move out of Shawcross while building work is completed.

Computers in the Library are not affected and will be available as normal. See the Library website for details of opening hours.

24-hour computing facilities
Pevensey 1A9, 1A9/1, 1B4 and 1B5 are available at evenings and weekends and can be accessed using the keycode

Mail deliveries and Staff Desktop Support
Some parts of IT Services will be operating from the Hastings building while Shawcross is refurbished. All deliveries of IT equipment and mail will be directed to Hastings and is also the temporary base of the Staff Desktop Support team.
