There are currently no wi-fi connections for residents in Kings Road. Internet connections have been unavailable since Saturday afternoon.
Further investigation is needed to identify and fix the underlying problem. This may not be possible over the weekend and we're sorry for the inconvenience to residents but we will have the service back online as soon as we can next week.

Engineers working for the company who provide the internet connection to Kings Road have confirmed that the link was affected by the electrical storm in Brighton on Saturday afternoon.
The connection from Kings Road to the campus is made by a microwave link broadcast from the top of Sussex Heights, a tall residential building on Brighton sea front. The equipment at the top the tower was damaged in yesterday's storm and is no longer relaying connections.
Engineers are now trying to restore the connection and we'll provide more information as soon as we can.

The company who provide the internet connection to Kings Road have been working all weekend to try to fix the problems resulting from the electrical storm in Brighton on Saturday. They've not yet been able to restore the connection but are hoping to install new equipment on Tuesday 31 May.
The network connections for Kings Road are relayed to the campus through a microwave link on the roof of Sussex Heights, one of the tall buildings on Brighton sea front. Equipment on the tower was hit by lightning on Saturday afternoon and began to malfunction. As a result, residents in Kings Road have been without internet connections for most of the weekend.
We're sorry for the inconvenience this has been causing for students working towards deadlines and revising for exams. Our suppliers will have the link back up and running as soon as they can.

The providers are still hoping to replace the equipment at Sussex Heights that was hit by lightning over the weekend, resulting in the loss of internet at Kings Road. The bad weather so far this morning hasn't been ideal but we hope that as it clears the work will get under way.
Once again, we apologise for the inconvenience this is causing to students at this crucial time of year and hope that the issue will be soon resolved.
The equipment at Sussex Heights that was damaged by the storm over the weekend has now been replaced by our service providers, restoring the internet link to our students at the Kings Road residence.
The network connections to the Kings Road residence are transmitted between there and the campus by a microwave link on the roof of Sussex Heights, and this was hit by lightning on Saturday. We appreciate the patience of all the students affected while this was fixed.
