UPDATE: 24 May 2016 - 4:36pm
BT have been working to fix a fault with telephone calls to and from the campus this afternoon. Most office phones are currently unable to make or receive external calls due to a configuration fault in the BT exchange.
The Telephony team have put a temporary workaround in place so that calls can be received on the main switchboard number 01273 606755 from where they can be routed internally. However it's still not possible to make calls to external numbers.
BT are sending engineers to fix the faulty configuration as soon as possible.
BT engineers were able to trace the fault affecting telephone calls to and from the campus yesterday.
The service has been working normally again since around 5.00am this morning but some further maintenance work will be required in the near future and we'll give more details when the work has been scheduled with BT.
