Further maintenance work will be taking place on file systems on Friday morning, 2 October between 6.00 and 8.00am. The providers of the system will be making an urgent change to fix the fault which caused disruption to services on Monday and Tuesday this week.
Staff and students will not be able to use files in personal file space (N drives) and group shares (G drives) for part of that time but we will keep any disruption as short as possible. It may also be difficult to log in to staff and student PCs during this time.
We're sorry for the short notice of this work but we want to install the fix as soon as possible in order to keep services running smoothly over the weekend.

Maintenance work is underway and progressing well this morning. Personal file space (N drives) and group shares (G drives) are offline while the updates are taking place but should be available again from 8.00am.

Personal file space (N drives) and group shares (G drives) are still unavailable while urgent maintenance work takes place. The work is taking slightly longer than expected but we're expecting services to be available again shortly after 8.00am.
