Residents in Northfield are still experiencing problems connecting to eduroam today, Friday 3 July. We're sorry for the frustration this is causing and we're working to restore services to normal as soon as we can.
In the meantime, if you are based in Northfield and are having trouble connecting, please try these temporary workarounds:

Residents in Northfield are still facing problems using wi-fi this afternoon with many students unable to connect to the eduroam network.
We're sorry for the frustration this is causing and we will restore the service to normal as soon as we can but if you're based in Northfield and are having trouble connecting, please try these temporary workarounds:
Our advisors will be in the Northfield Social Centre to help residents get online with these workarounds at the following times:
Friday 3 July
4.00 to 8.00pm
Saturday 4 July
2.00 to 6.00pm

Residents in a number of campus residences, including Northfield and Kings Road, are still experiencing problems connecting to the internet. Difficulty using both wired and wi-fi connections has been reported in the last few days.
We're sorry for all the frustration this is causing and we're working to fix the problems as soon as we can.
In the meantime, if you're still having trouble connecting, please try these temporary workarounds:

We're still working to fix the wi-fi connection problems affecting students in Northfield and Kings Road residences. Many residents are currently unable to connect to the eduroam wi-fi network due to problems with the authentication process.
The problem is proving difficult to resolve and we're sorry for the frustration caused by the ongoing loss to services. However we are working to get services back to normal as soon as possible and in the meantime, there are several workarounds you may be able to use to get online:

There are continued problems connecting to the wi-fi in several parts of the campus this afternoon, Monday 6 July. The fault is now causing considerable disruption with staff, students and visitors unable to get access to the internet.
The issue is affecting the eduroam and Conferences networks in several areas including:
All networks are currently working in other locations and the O2 Wifi visitor network continues to be available across the campus, although it's running more slowly due to the increased number of users.
We're very sorry for all the inconvenience this is causing and are working to resolve the fault as soon as we can. Unfortunately the problem is proving very difficult to resolve and we can't yet confirm how soon we will be able to restore services to normal.
In the meantime, there are several workarounds you may be able to use to get online:

All wi-fi connections in Northfield and Kings Road will be temporarily interrupted at 9.30am while we try to fix the problems affecting networks in the last few days.
We're still working to get services back to normal as quickly as possible.
Users of wi-fi connections in the residences should now be able to connect to eduroam and Conferences networks as normal.
We're sorry for all the frustration this fault has caused in the last few days but we've been working further this morning to fix the issues and we're now seeing successful connections from all parts of the campus.
