Busy maintenance schedule 5-8 May

We're busy with a series of maintenance jobs in the last week of the spring vacation, 5-8 May. We'll do our best to keep any disruption to a minimum but you may notice some brief interruptions to services while the work is taking place.
Tuesday 5 May
8.30am | Network in Fulton and Freeman
There may be a very brief interruption to network access in Fulton and Freeman buildings while we replace back-up network links.
Update: completed on schedule before 9.00am.
9.00am | Autolocking of PCs in Communications and DARO
Auto-locking of staff PCs will be introduced to computers in the Press and Communications and Development and Alumni Relations Offices.

Morning | Sussexsport bookings
The Sussexsport online booking system will be unavailable while we complete an upgrade. The system is expected to be back by lunchtime but we'll restore it earlier if we can.
Update: work completed ahead of schedule at around 9.30am.
All day | Staff email system
We're completing a major update to the staff email system. The email service will remain available throughout the day but staff may notice slower response times on some functions while work is taking place.

Wednesday 6 May
8.30am | Network in Chichester 2 and Arts
There will be a brief interruption to network access in Chichester 2 while we restart switches to apply new configurations. We are also upgrading the back-up network link for Arts A, B and C.

Thursday 7 May
5.55 - 7.15am | File storage systems (rescheduled from Tuesday)
Personal file space (N: drives) and group files (G: drives) will be read-only for a short time while we swap over the primary and secondary systems. This measure will help us investigate a hardware fault and we're starting the work early in the morning to minimise the disruption for anyone working on the campus. Files and folders are expected to be writable again by 7.15am and we'll do our best to restore the service earlier if we can.
Update: maintenance postponed while we work with the manufacturers to resolve an issue identified during preparations. Work will be rescheduled.
8.30am | Network in Bramber and Park Houses
There may be a brief interruption to network access in Bramber, Lancaster, York, Essex, Kulukundis and Norwich Houses while we upgrade back-up network links.
