Sussex Direct card payments 2-5 Feb

The facility to make online payments through Sussex Direct will be unavailable for several days next week while the University transfers to a new merchant service provider for processing card payments.

The University will be able to realise substantial savings thanks to the new platform but it is necessary to close online payments temporarily between 2 and 5 February to make a smooth transition.

  • Contact Student Accounts to make urgent payments
    Students who need to make card payments for tuition fees or residential services can visit Student Accounts in person or call - see the Student Accounts web page for opening times.

  • Printing credits can be made using cash
    Students will not be able to use Sussex Direct or the Sussex Mobile phone app to fund printing accounts with a credit or debit card. However, it will still be possible to use the Printing Account Banking Stations in Shawcross and the Library to fund balances using cash.

We apologise for the inconvenience this will cause next week but staff from IT Services and Finance teams will be working together to ensure services are back up and running as soon as possible. We expect services to be back online at 9.00am on Friday 6 February.
