A fraud email has been reported by Sussex users this morning, Thursday 24 April. The email has the subject line Past due invoice followed by a random number and notifies the recipient of a fictitious invoice. The attached zip file contains malware which tries to install a rogue application on the recipient's computer.
The message purports to come from a limousine hire company but is not genuine - it is a fraud email and should be ignored or deleted.
With all messages of this kind you should never:
Dear Customer,
Your past due invoice #698092606919 is attached.
Please remit payment at your earliest convenience.
We thank you for your business and look forward to providing you with excellent service.
