A number of systems were affected by a power outage over the weekend. The loss of mains electricity to some parts of the campus on the evening of Saturday 29 September meant that a number of systems were offline overnight.
IT Services staff worked to restore as many systems as possible on Sunday morning, including Study Direct, student webmail and internet access using wi-fi and wired connections. Sussex Direct is also now working too although some systems may be affected by residual issues which will be resolved on Monday.
UPDATE: 1 Oct 2012 - 9:17am
Most systems are returning to normal after the loss of mains electricity on the campus on the evening of Saturday 29 September. Sussex Direct and Study Direct are both available although some services may be affected by residual issues which we will fix as soon as we can.
Staff in several locations are reporting problems logging in to staff PCs, possibly due to loss of connections to the main campus network. We apologise for the inconvenience this is causing and we are working to restore access as soon as possible.

For a time this morning, staff in several locations were unable to connect to the network. These problems should now have been resolved so if you were affected by these issues, please try restarting your computer and then attempt to login as normal.
