We're investigating a number of issues this afternoon with systems such as Sussex Direct and Oracle Web Forms. The systems are currently unable to connect to the central database.
We apologise for the inconvenience this is causing and we're working urgently to fix it.
UPDATE: 27 Sep 2012 - 4:55pm
There are problems with a number of systems this afternoon including Sussex Direct, Study Direct and student webmail. Some other services may also be affected, including access to group G: drives for staff in central administration teams.
We're working to diagnose and fix the problems as soon as we can and apologise for the inconvenience this is causing.
UPDATE: 27 Sep 2012 - 5:03pm
We have now been able to restore some of the systems affected by this afternoon's problems and the following services should now be working:
- Sussex Direct
- student webmail
- Oracle web forms
It is possible that a small number of services may still be unavailable, including off-campus access to resources such as online journals.
We're working to get all services back to normal as quickly as we can and apologise for the inconvenience these problems have been causing.
