The latest fraud email to be circulating at Sussex has the subject line Dear Account Owner and asks recipients to fill in their login details on a website called EmailFormWizard in order to increase their mail quota. The text of the message is shown below.
The message is a fraudulent attempt to obtain your login details - please ignore or delete the email. Note that although the website given in the email has now been blocked from access from Sussex campus computers, it may still be accessible from off-campus locations.
The mail purports to be from the University of Sussex but its fraudulent nature is relatively easy to spot:
- the email is sent from a hotmail address
- the link points to an online form that is not on the Sussex web site

Update: the web page to which this email was linking has now been blocked for computers on the campus.

Another fraudulent email circulating at Sussex (received 01-Jun-2012) has the subject line Storage Limit Exceeded, and asks recipients to enter their login details on a page labeled Upgrade!!. The text of the message is shown below.
Please IGNORE the email and DO NOT RESPOND to it or visit the website.
The message text is:
