My colours have changed to High Contrast in Windows 10 - how do I reset them?

Windows 10 has a number of High Contrast themes, which make the computer more useful for users with visual impairment.

If you are using a Windows 10 student computer on campus and you find these themes have been activated, your screen will look similar to this:

High Contrast theme

To reset your colours, follow these steps:

  1. Minimize your applications so you can see the desktop
  2. Right click on an empty part of the screen to bring up a menu and then left click on Personalise
  3. In this settings window, go to Themes and select the Sussex theme:
    Select the Sussex Theme

Your colours will reset back to normal.  You can now close the settings window.
