Is there any IT Services software that I can borrow from the Library to install on my own computer?

Yes, some of the site licenced software that IT Services purchases includes use for students and staff on their own computers. Current students and staff can borrow the following software from the Library and install it on their own computer:

MediaApplicationPlatformVersion
CD PDF Converter Pro windows 6.0
DVD ArcGIS ArcView windows 9.3

Borrow the CDs or DVDs from the Library. To install the software, follow the instructions on the back of the case. You will need to get the licence code from our website (login needed).

After you have installed any software, you should check if you need to download and install any patches.

Serveral software applications are available to download from the ITS website, these include Nvivo and SPSS, go to:

        sussex.ac.uk/its/services/programsandsoftware/software

The Library has kindly agreed to offer this loan service. If you have any queries about using the CDs then please contact the IT Service Desk in Shawcross, and not the Library.
