How to get here
Detailed directions on how to get here from nearby airports and sea ports. The closest airport to the University is Gatwick Airport, which is less than a half-hour from the university by train. Heathrow airport is about a two-hour coach ride away.
When to get here
Students attending session 1 in 2010 should plan to arrive on Sunday, 27 June, between 10am-5pm. Those attending just session 2 should plan to arrive on Sunday, 25 July, between 10am - 5 pm. You can find out a bit more about what to expect upon arrival.
Student handbook
The 2010 student handbook [pdf] contains information on how to get here, what to bring, how the academic system works, and much more. A copy will also be mailed to all applicants by April.

Activities schedule
We have an exciting range of activities planned next summer, including a welcome programme to get you familiar with campus and with Brighton, trips to nearby places such as Cambridge, Stonehenge and Paris (as well as several visits to the theatre and musicals in London), and organised events here on campus such as movie nights, pub quizzes, local hikes, and much more.
Register online
Once you have received your offer letter and candidate number in the mail, you will be able to register online after 1 June to receive your university username and password - this will allow you to use computing facilities on campus and use Sussex Direct. When you have your username and password, you can then login to Sussex Direct to see your class timetable (again, after 1 June) and gain access to your Sussex email.
