London Walking Tour

Experience a wonderful introduction to this iconic city. Explore London’s long historical and diverse culture on this guided walking tour.

Along the way you will journey through some of the most famous sights of London including Buckingham Palace, Trafalgar Square, Covent Garden and the South Bank.

As well as seeing London’s famous sites, you will hear some quirky and interesting facts while strolling through this wonderful city. There will be time for lunch (not included) and rest stops. Comfortable shoes are a must on this trip.

Shopping trip to IKEA

Equip yourself with household items to make your new accommodation in the UK feel more like home with this trip to Croydon IKEA.

Stonehenge and Bath

A day trip to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Stonehenge and the ancient Roman city of Bath.

In the morning visit Stonehenge, the iconic monument that has inspired archaeologists and storytellers alike.

Later, wander the streets of Bath with its gorgeous Georgian architecture, Roman ruins and numerous museums and galleries.Visit

Finally, Visit see the ancient Roman baths, fed by natural hot springs which have drawn visitors to the site for centuries.

Boundary walk

Take in a relaxed afternoon on the University of Sussex Boundary Walk with International Student Support and the Buddy Scheme.

This is a great way to meet new people, especially at the beginning of term. Get to know the university campus a little more and immerse yourself in its natural beauty.

Discover one of the most beautiful and historically interesting cities in the UK.

Enjoy a guided walking tour around Cambridge and its lovely university colleges with a team of knowledgeable guides, followed by free time to explore the city by yourself.

This is a collaborative trip with International Student Support and the Students’ Union Buddy Scheme.

Walking through the South Downs

Enjoy a lovely walk through the South Downs countryside.

On this trip you will take the train to Glynde and will be led through the South Downs to Lewes. In Lewes you’ll walk through historical and picturesque sites such as the Tudor Anne of Cleves house, the ‘twittens’ (famous passages and narrow alleyways), beautiful gardens and Lewes Priory.

At the end of the trip, there’s the option to visit an English pub for lunch (not included) (not included).

Oxford is a beautiful and historic city, and one of the most iconic locations in the UK.

You will enjoy a guided walking tour around the city, including entrance to Christ Church College with local guides.

Later on, enjoy free time to explore the city for yourself.

Seven Sisters and the Sussex countryside

The University of Sussex is surrounded by the magnificent Sussex countryside, some of which is not easy to access by public transport.

This trip takes you through the local countryside, along the beautiful coastline and South Downs National Park. 

The exact schedule may vary due to the weather, but Sstops generally include (though these may vary on the day due to weather constraints):

  • Rottingdean

  • Cuckmere Haven

  • Seven Sisters at Birling Gap and Beachy Head

  • the historic Pevensey Castle

  • the beautiful English village of Alfriston.

In Alfriston, you can explore the old streets, ancient church and enjoy a traditional English cream tea (not included).

Stanmer Park walk

Join International Student Support and the Buddy Scheme on a morning walk.

Discover the natural beauty of the South Downs that surrounds the University of Sussex campus.

You will be able to amble through the national park, take in the picturesque views of Stanmer Park and House, and finish the trip with a group lunch (not included).

The Lion King: A trip to London’s West End

Take the opportunity to see the acclaimed West End musical The Lion King – a spectacular show in all its extravagance with amazing costumes and an iconic soundtrack.

We will have great seats in the stalls as a group. Before the show you will have some free time for dinner. The amount of time depends on traffic in London and dinner is not included in the price.

The Making of Harry Potter: A Warner Bros Studio Tour

Ever wanted to wander down Diagon Alley, fly a broomstick or walk through the doors of Hogwarts’ Great Hall?

The studio tour includes many of the most famous sets from the Harry Potter series of films, as well as hundreds of props and original costumes.

This trip is run in collaboration with the Students’ Union Buddy Scheme.

  • Ticket includes return travel by private coach and entry to the Warner Bros Studio Tour. Food and drink is not included. While a limited choice is available once there (including butter beer!) we recommend bringing a packed lunch.

How to buy tickets

You can book excursions through our Online Shop.

Select Product Catalogue, then Trips and Activities and choose International Student Support. Double check you have the correct tickets in your basket before paying.

Details of trips appear in the Online Shop when they go on sale.

We aim to keep prices as low as possible.

Trips are open to all students.


Tickets for Ikea and the London Walking Tour go on sale Wednesday 4 September.

Tickets for all other autumn trips go on sale Friday 27 September.


Bringing your family with you

We have a limited number of tickets for dependants.

For the autumn term, they are available from Monday 23 September to Wednesday 25 September 2019, ahead of online sales.

Once tickets are on general sale, you will be limited to buying one ticket for each trip.

Terms and conditions

You must bring a digital copy of your ticket and your student ID card on the day of the trip. These must be presented before you get on the coach.

Tickets are non-refundable.

If you can no longer attend the trip you may swap or sell your ticket to another student. Email with details of the swap including the names and registration number of both students.

If you buy a ticket from another student, you must be able to show the original booking to the Trip Leader.

Trips take place whatever the weather. We recommend you bring a raincoat or an umbrella. As some trips involve a lot of walking, wear comfortable shoes or trainers.

If you are late arriving at a meeting point, we may leave without you. You would then have to find your own way back to Brighton at your own expense.

We reserve the right to make changes to the schedule and trips as offered in the event of circumstances beyond our control. If there are not enough tickets sold to make a trip viable, we reserve the right to cancel the trip and a full refund will be given.

Our Trip Leaders may take photographs of students during the trip. These may be used on social media or in our publicity material in future. If you don’t want to appear in photos, inform the Trip Leader.
