Welcome

Welcome back to those of you returning to Sussex after the festive break. We hope you managed to find some time to take a break and are ready for the term ahead.

For those of you who are joining us this January, we’d like to offer you a very warm welcome to Sussex.

We hope that in your first few weeks you’ll spend some time exploring the Doctoral School website, including our popular Researcher Development Programme webpages, and previous issues of Doctoral Connections.

You might like to take a look at the welcome message from Professor George Kemenes (Director of the Doctoral School) which was published in the first newsletter of the current academic year, along with our page for new researchers, and our Starting your doctorate at Sussex online module.

We also hope that you’ll be able to join us at our Welcome Lunch taking place on 2^nd February (11.30 – 13.00). This informal event provides an opportunity for you to meet other new doctoral researchers from across the University over lunch, and find out about the different types of support available to you at Sussex.
