Four new bike pumps on campus

Getting a puncture when you’re miles from home is inconvenient for any cyclist. Now Sussex students who cycle to and from campus can pump up their tyres with one of four new bike pumps.

“A flat tyre can be annoying at the best of times,” says Chris Wadey, Transport Manager. “Many cyclists carry their own pump, but not everyone does.”

Sussex Estates and Facilities have installed the floor-mounted bike pumps at campus locations with a high density of bicycles: Falmer House, Pevensey 1, Jubilee building, and Lewes Court.

The four pumps, which are free of charge to use, were provided by Brighton and Hove City Council.
