New cafe opens in Attenborough Centre

The café bar at Attenborough Centre for the Creative Arts has opened for business!

ACCA cafe 1ACCA cafe 2The café is a beautiful environment filled with plants and lots of natural light. The space is furnished with bespoke wooden tables, refurbished Basil Spence chairs and other reclaimed and restored mid-century furniture.

The ingredients for our menu are sourced from local suppliers – including Real Patisserie bread and cheeses from High Weald Dairy. Choose between a delicious selection of sandwiches (during the day) or elegant sharing platters – charcuterie, seafood, cheese board or vegetarian platter.

Our house coffee bean is sourced from a direct trade supplier and is rumoured to be the best tasting coffee on campus. Come along and decide for yourself.

Meet friends or bring colleagues for an early evening drink – we have a carefully chosen wine list, craft beers from Chapel Down brewery and an exclusive cocktail menu devised by Rob Maynard, barman at the Ginger Pig in Hove. The cocktails are all created using Blackdown Spirits – a local distillery.

The café bar regular opening hours are:

  • Monday – Wednesday: 11am – 6pm
  • Thursday & Friday: 11am – 8pm

The café bar is open later on nights when there is an event on. For weekend events the café bar is open an hour before advertised show start time and afterwards. Details of the autumn programme.

An area of the café can be reserved in advance for groups of six or more (if you pre-order your food). Contact Louisa Sharman, Café Bar manager for more details: louisa.sharman@compass-group.co.uk
