Next VC drop-in session with staff: Monday 21 November

No need to book in advance - just sign up on the day.

Adam Tickell 1Vice-Chancellor, Adam Tickell, will hold the second of his monthly drop-in sessions for staff on Monday 21 November from 9.00 am to 11.00 am.

The first drop-in session on 7 October proved popular with staff. All available slots were quickly snapped up by 11 staff from a mixture of grades from science, humanities and professional services backgrounds.

Adam said: “The first staff drop-in session was a great opportunity to hear from colleagues about their hopes for Sussex – as well as some of the things they feel are holding them back. I was heartened by the depth of passion that exists for our work here.

"The colleagues who came to speak with me provided me with many thoughts and ideas on how we can meet our true potential, and I’m looking forward to helping them achieve this.

"I’ll be holding more sessions in the coming months and I hope to hear from an equally diverse range of colleagues again.

"Of course, everyone will be able to have their say about our future with the We are Sussex, Strategy 2025 programme.”

If you would like to talk with the Vice-Chancellor, just come to the 3rd floor of Sussex House; there is no need to book in advance. Staff will be able to meet Adam on a first-come, first-served basis.

Join the VC and meet new colleagues in the Attenborough Centre on 22 November

If you're unable to make it on 21 November, the VC is holding a social event for staff in the Attenborough Centre on 22 November from 6.00 pm to 7.30 pm.

The informal event ia an opportunity for the VC to get to know more staff from across the University while allowing staff working in schools and professional services to come together – in the newly refurbished, Grade II* listed ACCA.

Staff are invited to book a place for either event as soon as possible to avoid disappointment. Spaces are limited to 50 people and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
