Have your say in the staff survey from Tuesday

The University will conduct a staff survey from Tuesday 22 November to Monday 12 December.

The purpose of the staff survey is to better understand of areas of particular concern raised in the 2014 and 2015 surveys, and to monitor the impact of the actions we have taken since then.

Vice-Chancellor, Adam Tickell, said: "As I am new to the role of Vice-Chancellor at Sussex, your feedback will help me to understand the kind of university you want this institution to be in the coming months and years. Feedback from our staff is greatly valued and this survey is one of the ways in which we can get a better understanding of what we may need to do to make Sussex the very best place it can be."

ORC International
will send you an email on Tuesday 22 November containing your link to the survey and further information about how to participate. The email will come from sussexees@orcsurvey.co.uk. The survey will be conducted online, but you can fill in a paper copy if you prefer.

Please complete the interim survey during your working day. No member of staff is expected to complete it during their personal time. Where appropriate, schools/professional services divisions may make arrangements for staff to complete the interim survey away from the distractions of their day job.

Human Resources Director, Jane Summerville, said: "This is the University’s third staff survey to gauge staff’s opinion on working at Sussex. As previously, the results will be benchmarked and published to all staff. We expect the initial, high-level results before Christmas, with the others following in the New Year. It would be great if you would complete the survey, which should take only about 10 minutes, so that we hear from as many staff as possible."
