Join the VC and meet new colleagues in the Attenborough Centre this November

The VC is holding two social events for staff in the Attenborough Centre this November.

The informal events are an opportunity for the VC to get to know more staff from across the University while allowing staff working in schools and professional services to come together – in the newly refurbished, Grade II* listed ACCA.

Vice-Chancellor, Adam Tickell, said: “It’s been great getting to know new colleagues during the recent drop-in sessions - and I look forward to more of this in the next couple of months.

"We heard in the last staff survey that staff would like more opportunities to get to know colleagues from other schools and departments, so these additional events seemed like a great way to do that.

“I know everyone can’t make time during the day for events like these, so I thought I’d arrange some opportunities outside of work. We’ll look to hold future events in the early morning next year as I also know many people can’t stay late in the day.

“We’re extremely lucky to have the ACCA – I hope you’ve already taken the chance to visit the brilliant new café. I’m looking forward to seeing you there in November.”

Staff are invited to book a place for either event as soon as possible to avoid disappointment. Spaces are limited to 50 people per event and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

  • Wednesday 16 November; 6.00 pm to 7.30 pm
  • Tuesday 22 November; 6.00 pm to 7.30 pm

The events will take place in tower three of the Attenborough Centre - the room on the right as you enter the building.

Some light refreshments will be served – so please list any special dietary requirements when booking your place.
