Staff fresher's fair - all staff welcome
Students get their own fresher’s fair so why not you? All staff are welcome to attend, whether you’re a new joiner or an old timer.
We’re hosting the event in the newly refurbished Attenborough Centre and there will be tours of the impressive 350-seater auditorium on the day.
To help colleagues from different parts of the University to get to know each other we’ll be running some fun ‘speed networking’ events – with the chance to win prizes for those taking part.
All fairs should be fun fairs so there’ll be free popcorn and candyfloss and games like hook-a-duck and coconut shy.
SussexFood will be handing out tasty samples and Sussexsport are bringing their own pingpong table and swingball set. Those with mobility issues can try their hand at ‘seated volleyball’.
We’re also focusing on staff wellbeing with free yoga, pilates and mindfulness classes – and free hand massages throughout the day.

Representatives will be on hand to fill you in from the Chaplaincy, the Health Centre, the Library, the Childcare Centre, the Staff Development Unit, Technology Enhanced Learning, SussexFood and Sussexsport.

Where and when
The fair takes place between 11.00am to 2.00pm on Thursday 22 October in the Attenborough Centre near Falmer House.
If you’d like to take an extended lunchbreak to attend the fair, please agree this with your line manager in advance.
