Stress Awareness DayThe morning slots will commence at 9.30am and the afternoon slots at 2pm.

The theme of this year’s National Stress Awareness Day is ‘Stress: the balancing act’. The organisers say: “It is sometimes difficult to keep the balance right in terms of work, play and lifestyle. Helping to raise awareness of the numerous solutions that are available to achieve this balance is an important one.”

One solution for some people is mindfulness. “Don’t just do something – sit there,” suggests Lead Chaplain, Rev Chris McDermott, who will be offering sessions of mindful sitting and relaxation on 5 November at 9.30am and 12 noon as part of National Stress Awareness Day.

These sessions, which take place in the Meeting House, also run every Monday at 1pm, Wednesday at 9.30am and 12 noon, and Friday at 1pm.

There is no need to book – just turn up.
