Doctoral researchers: last chance to have your say via PRES

Doctoral researchers have less than a week left to complete the PRES survey, which allows them to share their views on doctoral research at Sussex.

PRES logoThe Postgraduate Research Experience Survey (PRES) is the only national survey of postgraduate research students and so the only way for Sussex to compare how it is doing against the national average, and to make changes that will improve students' experience in the future.

The survey will close on Thursday 14 May 2015.

Doctoral researchers can complete the survey via the Doctoral School webpages; all responses are anonymous.

The survey asks about things like supervision, resources, research culture, progress and assessment, responsibilities, research skills, professional development, opportunities and overall experience.

Professor Michael Davies, Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Research), said: "Robust results depend upon a high response; your participation is therefore very important and your time is really appreciated."

As a thank you, everyone who completes the survey will receive a £5 food voucher to spend on campus, or they can choose to donate their £5 to the University's Hardship Fund for students administered by the Student Life Centre.
