Celebration to be held of the life of Dr Peter Unsworth

Electrical engineer Dr Peter Unsworth, who worked at Sussex for 45 years and was an admired teacher and prolific inventor, has died.

Peter came to Sussex in 1963 and, even after retiring in 2003, stayed on as an Associate Tutor until 2007 and in a research capacity until 2008. 

He died peacefully in Lewes on 6 May, aged 76. A celebration of Peter’s life will be held in the Meeting House on Wednesday (21 May) at 2.30 pm.
