New, improved undergraduate prospectus now out

Art History and Film Studies? Neuroscience with Cognitive Science? International Relations and Anthropology?

Whatever a student’s interest, all the information’s there in one place, in the online Undergraduate Prospectus 2013, which went live on 5 March.

As a new feature, all joint and major/minor degrees now include tabs with information for all subject areas involved, to minimise the number of clicks needed to get all necessary information about a degree.

The online prospectus is dynamic (i.e. it is kept constantly up to date).

And from late September 2012, each course in the online Undergraduate Prospectus 2013 will also display Key Information Sets (KIS). These are comparable sets of standardised information about undergraduate courses, which the government will require all universities and colleges to publish.

For those who prefer the smell of ink on paper, individual copies of the printed prospectus can be ordered online.

Requests for bulk copies are handled through Student Recruitment Services. Contact Margaret Penton (E m.j.penton@sussex.ac.uk, ext 3222).

More than 150 people have been involved in the publication process, which is co-ordinated by the central Publications and Branding team.

The Director of Communications, Rob Read, says: “The way in which we display information to potential students will be a key part of what the QAA [Quality Assurance Agency] look for when they carry out their institutional review of Sussex next year.”
