Christmas carols by candlelight

On Sunday (4 December) at 6pm you are invited to join the Rev Canon Dr Gavin Ashenden (University Chaplain) and James Lloyd Thomas (University organist) in the Meeting House chapel for the annual carols by candlelight, followed by mince pies and mulled wine in the Quiet Room. 

Recording of BBC Radio 4 comedy quiz show ‘The 3rd Degree’

Every week, at a different university, BBC Radio 4 comedy quiz show ‘The 3rd Degree’ pits three undergraduates against three of their lecturers. On Tuesday (6 December) you can join the live audience and host Steve Punt (‘The Now Show’, ‘Horrible Histories’) for the recording of the Sussex episode. There’s no charge and you don’t need a ticket – just turn up in the Meeting House chapel at 5.30pm for a 6pm start. First come, first served! Christmas tree lights

All staff are invited to enjoy a mince pie and glass of mulled wine in the Meeting House next Wednesday (7 December). The festive get-together at 4.30-5.30pm is to celebrate the approaching end of term and the University’s 50th anniversary. Towards the end of the event the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Michael Farthing, will turn on the Christmas tree lights in Library Square. 

Your chance to win £150 iTunes vouchers

The 2010 activity survey was completed by more than 1,000 staff and students and played an important role in helping Sussexsport to attract funding to improve opportunities on campus. This year’s survey for staff and survey for students, which close on 9 December, takes about 10 minutes to complete and all entrants will be entered into a prize draw for iTunes vouchers worth up to £150.
