Next Article | Contents

Peter Palmer, who first came to Sussex in 1975, is retiring on 30 July.

As a senior technician in the University television studio, Peter worked alongside Ken Whittington, Charlie Zuber and Steve Brind, recording educational TV programmes.

He took over from Peter Morris as Manager of Media Services in 1989, with responsibility for audio-visual facilities in teaching rooms and in the TV production area.

During his 34 years of service, Peter has 'belonged' variously to the Library, the Administration, the Centre for Educational Technology, Estates and Facilities Management (EFM), IT Services and, most recently, the Media and Film department, and has many friends across campus.

He is looking forward to a period of extensive travel throughout the southern hemisphere, to improving his golf and to spending time with his first grandchild.
