Win tickets to the smartest event of the summer
This year, the University celebrates its 40th birthday: Queen Elizabeth II signed the Royal Charter in August 1961 and the first intake of 52 students was admitted in October of that year.
The occasion is to be celebrated, on the evening of 5 July, with a concert performed by members of Trinity College of Music in the Gardner Arts Centre, and a summer buffet served by Glyndebourne caterers Letheby & Christopher in an adjacent marquee.
Guests include Chancellors and Vice-Chancellors, former Students' Union officers, members of staff from the past and present day, alumni and current students, partner institutions, local dignitaries, VIPs, and representatives from many national and local organisations.
Numbers are restricted by the size of the Gardner Arts Centre, but the Vice-Chancellor wishes that all students and members of staff who would like to share in this special occasion have the opportunity to do so, and has reserved 10 pairs of tickets for the winners of a never-to-be-repeated Bulletin competition.
Here are photographs of the University's six Vice-Chancellors; all you have to do is attach the correct name to each picture. Get all six right and you could be on your way to the smartest event this summer!
Entries must be received by the Press and Communications Office in Sussex House (email email@example.com) by 10am on Thursday (28 June). Senders of the first 10 correct entries drawn from the bag will each receive two tickets.
