The view that cognizers make use of detailed, internal, world models is not as widely accepted as it once was. However, its rejection turns out to entail absurd assumptions about the way in which cognizers implement behavioiural contingencies. The implication seems to be that theoreis of world-model use should not be dispensed with prematurely.
