Institution of Mechanical Engineers: Careers Talk and CV Surgery

Three members of the Surrey & Sussex IMechE Young Members Committee will share their career experience as they transitioned from university to full-time employment. The panel includes:

Ben Carter, Mechanical Engineer, Cubic - responsible for all technology to enable contactless payments on London Underground.

Matt Gibb, Support Engineer, GSK (GlaxoSmithKline)- Global pharmaceutical company producing pharmaceutical heathcare and consumer healthcare. Products include Aquafresh toothpaste, anti-biotics, HIV medication and Piriton allergy relief

Charlotte Allen, Engineering Business Analyst, Ricardo Strategic Consulting - strategic consulting services for the automotive and transport industries

During the presentations, they will use their experience to provide guidance, advice, tips and answer questions to provide you with all the information you need to begin your career.

Also, there will be a CV surgery after the presentations, so bring your CV if you would like one of the engineers to have a look through it!

Come and gain more confidence in future careers, and more knowledge of opportunities for placements and graduate positions.

Open to: All students from Engineering, Informatics & Computer Science, Mathematics and Physics, including Masters and PhD students.
