Leadership Training Day

A unique opportunity to explore leadership and how you can grow as a leader, enhance your CV and evidence these skills to future employers.

Run by an engaging external consultant in leadership development, Dominic Morris, who is managing director of Blue Edge Training and has worked for over 20 years in leadership development as a trainer, coach and mentor. His organisation runs leadership programmes and supports organisations in recruiting and developing leaders at all levels. Dominic combines a theoretical and practical understanding of leadership, based on his work with profit and not-for- profit organisations and is able to bring this exciting area to life with stories and examples. Because of his experience in recruitment consultancy and work with students and graduates, he is able to give you tips and hints at demonstrating these skills when job searching.

Session outcomes:

The workshop will enable you to:

  • Understand the essence of leadership and how it is different to management
  • Explore the history of leadership and key theories
  • Identify how you can effectively lead teams
  • Explore your own leadership style and how you can adapt this
  • Develop ideas to evidence your leadership
  • Start to feel confident in your own leadership skills and create a personal action plan

Open to: students from all years and degrees.
