Research

My doctoral research investigated the organization of Free/Open source (F/OS) software communities. My core interest is in emerging forms of organization and production, especially peer production, and the new forms of agency and control afforded by Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs). My approach is to consider ICTs as being doubly embedded in existing institutional, socio-economic structures and knowledge specific contexts of meaning and signification.
