Share feedback on your Sussex experience in the National Student Survey

The National Student Survey (NSS) 2019 is open now to final year undergraduates. The NSS provides an opportunity to share honest feedback on your academic experience at Sussex.

Run by external polling company Ipsos MORI on behalf of the UK government, the NSS is used to assess the quality of a student's degree as a whole. If you decide to take part, you should think back over all years of your course when responding.

Results are taken very seriously by the University and the Office for Students. NSS results are made publicly available through the Unistats website to help prospective students, their families and advisors make informed decisions about where and what to study.

Vice-Chancellor Adam Tickell says, “The NSS gives you a unique opportunity to have your say about your time at Sussex. Your opinions matter and will shape the future here.”

How can you fill in the NSS?

Eligible students can fill in the NSS online or via a mobile device at at any time from 7 January to 30 April 2019.

Later this week Ipsos MORI will contact students by email with an invitation to complete the survey.

What’s in it for you?

All eligible students who fill in the survey online by 28 February can enter a prize draw to win £750 cash.

During February you can enjoy a free barista coffee or other hot drink while completing the survey at the new NSS café in Dine Central. Find the NSS café upstairs in Bramber House between 12pm and 3.30pm each weekday from 4-28 February.

Once you complete the survey, you will be able to get either a £5 food and drink voucher or £5 printing credit. Vouchers can be collected by showing a survey completion email to staff at the Information Hub desk in the Library, or to members of staff in the NSS café.

You can view more information on our NSS web page.
