My thesis ‘Turkey’s Ottoman Legacy’ aims to reinterpret Turkey’s transition from empire to nation-state from the perspective of Trotsky’s theory of Uneven and Combined Development. My research interests include: international historical sociology, Marxism, nation-state formation and non-Western international history.
