Geography has a new head of department
Dr Cherith Moses took on her new role on 1st August.
Cherith will be in the post for 3 years, and follows Dr Julian Murton whose tenure has seen the department through a period of significant growth and structural change and who is now enjoying a well-earned term of research leave.
Cherith is a geomorphologist, researching landform development and landscape evolution via the study of rock weathering and coastal processes. She teaches undergraduate courses in all years, contributes to the MSc in Applied Geomorphology and has co-led field classes to Thailand and Vietnam for many years. Cherith says “ I look forward to working effectively with the department and our Head of School, Richard Black, to continue the growth and development of Geography at Sussex’.
