The Exhibition

Photography is one of the many loves in Lord Healey’s life, alongside painting, music, poetry and, above all else, his family. This exhibition, curated by students under the guidance of Professor David Mellor (Art History) and Dr Ian Gazeley (History), demonstrates both his love of the medium and his competence as a photographer.

The week-long exhibition combines interactive media, film and interviews with some of Healey’s own photographs. It takes place in the University’s InQbate Creativity Zone: a multimedia space where digital technology allows the atmosphere to be altered at will. The curators use this facility to present the material in innovative and unique ways, and to explore the political, public and private ‘worlds’ within Healey’s life.

On weekdays, students and tutors from different disciplines and departments will use the exhibition to enhance their learning. Some will encounter it as a part of their formal teaching and others will take part in interdisciplinary seminars arranged during the week. Many of these events are open sessions which you are welcome to join.
