This initiative represents the next phase of development of Qualitative Longitudinal Research (QLR) in the UK, building on past investments and extending interdisciplinary and international conversations.
The Methodological Innovation Network is funded by the National Centre for Research Methods (NCRM) and brings together those who have been central to different histories of QLR, along with a new generation of researchers for whom temporal perspectives enable a range of interdisciplinary and emergent research practices.
Five events are planned over the course of twelve months hosted by institutions across mainland Britain. Key themes explored will include interdisciplinary, ethics, durational phenomena, practice traditions and forms of representation and display. The series will involve seminars and linked workshops aimed at doctoral and early career researchers.
Members of the network are encouraged to attend the full series, building an enduring community of research practice. Bursaries will be available to support attendance.
