Sussex ATLAS team participate in the LHCP2017 conference in Shanghai

This week Professor Antonella De Santo and Dr Kerim Suruliz, both from the Sussex team working on the ATLAS experiment at CERN's Large Hadron Collider, are in Shanghai, China, to participate in the LHCP2017 conference.

This is the fifth edition of the now classic annual conference on LHC physics, which this year is being held at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, one of the most prestigious and selective universities in China. Prof De Santo is presenting hot-off-the-press results from Electroweak Supersymmetry searches at ATLAS, with focus on the flagship multileptonic searches, where the Sussex ATLAS team has had longstanding leadership since its inception. Dr Suruliz, who in ATLAS oversees the work of the substantial group of physicists measuring properties of the top-quark, will be giving a plenary talk on Top-quark Properties on behalf of the ATLAS and CMS Collaborations. We look forward to hearing more exciting news from them (and maybe seeing some shots from their exotic trip) once they are back on this side of the world.
