A careers masterclass on campus this month will offer students the chance to hone their presentation and communication skills.
But that’s not all: there’s also the possibility of representing a large national retailer as a brand ambassador.
Sussex is one of just four universities in the UK to host the workshop, offered by Currys PC World in partnership with social enterprise MyKindaCrowd.
The event on Thursday 30 May (11am–2pm) offers the opportunity to prepare a one-minute filmed audition to become one of eight brand ambassador for Currys PC World.
If you want to attend, sign up at http://curryspcworldambassador.eventbrite.co.uk/?ref=estw
Auditions are open to any individual aged between 14 and 24.
A total of 80 young people will be invited to a finale event at the Currys PC World HQ in London, where they will receive media and communication training, experiment with the latest gadgets and meet with senior managers from Currys PC World.
The presentation and communications masterclass on campus is part of Make it happen … Finally, a fortnight of events aimed at final-year undergraduates (but open to all Sussex students), with advice and information to help with decisions about options after graduation. Make it happen … Finally, which is organised by the Careers and Employability Centre, runs from Wednesday 29 May–Wednesday 12 June.
