I first started my PhD at the University of Sussex in October 2012. My field of interest is development economics and my PhD research investigates the link between social capital, crime, social norms and development. In 2013 I went on intermission for a year to work for J-PAL Latin America, where I took part in different RCTs that investigated the effectiveness of social policies in Latin American countries. After resuming my studies, I have also worked in several impact evaluation projects involving data analysis and evaluation design for different research institutions.

Before undertaking a PhD, I worked for two years at the International Initiative for Impact Evaluation (3ia) in London where I conducted methodological and empirical research on impact evaluation and meta-analysis and provided technical support to research teams funded by 3ie. My education background also includes undergraduate degrees in Economics and Law from the Universidad Carlos III (Madrid), a postgraduate degree in Development Economics (awarded with Distinction) at the University of Sussex and a Postgraduate Diploma in Cooperation for Development (UNED, Madrid).
